Discovering Design with Chemistry and the accompanying answer key will be used in this college prep introduction to chemistry. The fundamental aspects of chemistry such as classification of matter, atomic structure, spectroscopy, chemical bonding, molecular geometry, physical change, chemical change, stoichiometry, solutions, ideal gases, acid/base chemistry, reduction/oxidation reactions, thermochemistry, thermodynamics, kinetics, and chemical equilibrium. A chemistry lab set is required for this course.
Student must have completed Algebra I
A syllabus will be provided by the first of September. The syllabus will let the student know what reading and lab work needs to be completed prior to class.
